My #Art: Trouble#Watercolor on paper

Everybody called her trouble,

Except for him.

He called her beautiful.

My Art and Poem: Falling

My #Artwork & Poem: Falling

#Charcoal
You’re right, love scares me.

How can it not?

You open up your soul to a newfound stranger,

without knowing what tomorrow will bring.
Yes, that’s what scares me most of all.

The vulnerability it brings.

Setting your soul free,

letting your heart fall,

letting yourself go,

little by little.
I’ve never quite found a feeling as scary as that.

Then & Always

22 Apr

I dreamt about you again.

I called out your name,

begging you to stay.

I felt defeated, my screams unheard.

You left, you had to, and I on the floor

Tears falling, heart empty, had to face

Your absence yet again.

It’s always the same story.

I’m in trouble,

I see you,

I scream for you.

You seem so near,

But I can never have you back

Like I used to,

I could never hug you,

I could never talk to you…

You are gone.

You come in my dreams now,

Like you did when you were around.

You’d walk into my room

And smile from ear to ear

Hello my dear Jamie,

Hello my dear child.

You were the kindest soul in my life,

The hero I have come to know.

The day you left us,

My world, our world, fell apart

It’s never been the same.

You were the kindest soul in my life,

The hero I have come to know.

You had the biggest heart.

I still think about you…

I love you, Lolo.

Then and always.

Painting and Poem: Chaos

16 Jan

I felt him sneak into my life, like sunlight slowly invading the room on early mornings. But the sunset came, just like any other day…and the sun, and him, were gone before I knew it.

Painting and Poem: You’re Out There

I feel you’re out there,
Like a country I’ve long dreamed of visiting;
Of which, I’ve collected a thousand beautiful pictures;
Of which, I daydreamed of spending late afternoons, chasing sunsets,
And evenings, watching stars.

I feel you’re out there, somehow, somewhere,
Waiting, just waiting,
To be found.

Painting: Perfect Little Girl

Nothing

Transient feelings.
Explosive, real.
Beautiful,
Ephemeral.

You, me,
Us.

One after another,
A rampage;
In search of you,
The feeling,
The taste,
Of you, me,
Us.

Nothing feels the
same.
Nothing tastes as
good
No one can be
you.

Transient feelings,
Floating, searching,
Looking, waiting…

That night, those months,
Your words, my words,
Love.

Transient feelings,
Unreal, staged, empty,
A rampage,
One after the other…
In search of you.

My Artwork: Patricia

12 Aug

Not completely done yet, but here’s my #artwork for the day.

Patricia, 8/13/2014.
Oil Color on Canvas

I choose to believe you’re out there
Waiting for me to be strong
I choose to believe you’re watching
Whispering carry on
I choose to believe you’re with me
Every minute of the day
Dear sister up in heaven
Sending my love your way…
